Betty Boop was an animated cartoon character created by Max Fleischer, with help from animators including Grim Natwick back around 1930. Betty Boop originally was a 'French Poodle' although soon after its creation became a typical 'Flapper' girl typical of those times. She originally appeared in the Talkartoon and Betty Boop film series, which were produced by Fleischer Studios and released by Paramount Pictures.
Over time, the theme around Betty Boop has been used in many media, and even in a musical. Supposedly, in 2012, a musical based on Betty Boop was being developed. The musical, which is now entitled "BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical," is scheduled to make its debut in Chicago, Illinois around November or December 2023.
