This "Still Life Flower Pot" is what we call this framed, original oil painting.
It was painted in Taiwan by probably a painter in the 1970s-1980s. It is quite nice and can be a wonderful ornament, or just a collectible item. The code that appears in the back is "752-061", which probably refers to the exporting official code. The painter's signature is not clear, and it starts with a capital 'A', followed by the rest of the signature starting with a "j". It was not possible for us to find on the Internet any information related to this painting.
The painting is of a green pot with mainly red and white flowers and is quite group-balanced and with nice painting details. The frame appears quite new and in very good condition, and it seems made of wood.
Taiwan exports many paintings, and it is now the case that Taiwanese Art is highly collectible and in fairly large international demand. Among other types of art, Taiwan exports paintings, drawings, and pastels created entirely by hand as artwork, and usually made by local artists.
Normally, Oil paintings created in Taiwan include various mediums, including oil paintings, as is the case with this particular painting. It seems to be the case that art creation in Taiwan was very influenced by Japanese art, triggering the introduction of oil and watercolor paintings during the Japanese occupation. Additionally to the Japanese influence, Taiwanese artists have also explored other art and painting styles. Taiwan is proud of many of its art creators across various mediums. Taiwan's original art creation remains distinct, vibrant, and generally desired by the rest of the world.
The dimensions of the canvas are 10" x 7.9", or 25.5 x 20.5cm.
The dimensions of the frame are: 35 x 30cm (14" x 12"), and the height of the frame is around 1.8cm.
