This is a costume based in The Zorro character, and has been manufactured of good materials. This costume is very appropriate for Halloween, or actually any festive occasion, or even Book Week.
The Zorro character, who was sort of a 'Vigilante', similar to 'Batman' or even 'Superman', was created around 1919 by the American writer Johnston McCulley. The story, which was a novel called "The Curse of Capistrano", was supposed to take place in Los Angeles, California, during the war of independence of Mexico from Spain around 1821. In the novel, the father of The Zorro was a very rich landowner in California called "Don Alejandro de la Vega". The actual double, legal identity of The Zorro was "Don Diego de la Vega", the future inheritor of his father's large fortune ... all very similar to Batman, right?
The original Zorro novel, due to its very welcomed arrival, became a series of stories written by the same writer Johnston McCulley until he died in 1958. The very first movie, a silent one, was released as early as 1920, and after that the movie industry released many other movies, and other writers also released many other stories related to The Zorro.
Here is a fairly short YouTube video that shows the superhero "Zorro" freeing some peasants of a undeserved death sentence.:
